I'm here, holding my nose...

Hi again! It's me, not Alisa Valdes-Rodriguez, the New York Times Bestselling author and one of Time Magazine's 25 Most Influential Hispanics, writing from the beautiful city of Miami! Well, it would be beautiful if it weren't for all the rabid Cuban exiles here. My flight into Miami International Airport was great. Great, that is, up until the time we landed at Miami International Airport. For the life of me, I just cant understand how and why a major American Airport would be built so close to the city of Hialeah, a place so infested with Cubans that they should hand you cans of Raid and bio-suits at its borders.

I'm here for my reading tomorrow as I detailed earlier but today I'm off to Miracle Mile for some shopping. I love Coral Gables, but lately I'm told there has been a proliferation of Cubans there as well! Can you believe it? The "City Beautiful" is now the "City Not So Beautiful" because It's full of right-wing Cubans! Sometimes, despite my adoration and reverence for Fidel castro, I wish he would just up and die already so all those rich, high and mighty Cubans could go back to Cuba and reclaim their land and businesses and slaves back. That way, Miami can go back to being that peaceful, quiet little sleepy town it once was.

I said the flight was great, except I forgot to mention one thing, the food on the plane was awful, even in First Class! Can you believe that? How can an airline expect to serve New York Times Bestselling author and one of Time Magazine's 25 Most Influential Hispanics cheap champagne from California instead of France and have the audacity of trying to serve me a lobster bisque made with - get this - Florida Lobster!!??? The thought of trying to stomach something that comes from the waters where those lunatic Cubans swim is nauseating. I mean, if they're going to serve a New York Times Bestselling author and one of Time Magazine's 25 Most Influential Hispanics lobster, they better make it with lobster from Maine.

Anyway, I'm off to Taco Bell for a quick bite of some home cookin' and then off to my first reading. I urge you all to come on by and support me. I've got plenty of copies of my latest book on hand, and will even throw in a CodePink tote bag with every copy. See you there!

Hugs,

Not Alisa
